Last week we welcomed our Second Cohort of students to the UKRI CDT in ART-AI and had a busy week of welcome events.
These events included talks from the Head of the Computer Science Department, Professor Mike Fraser, Dr Marina De Vos, Director of Training for the ART-AI and Eamonn O’Neill, ART-AI Centre Director. Dr Joanna Bryson, Professor of Ethics and Technology at Hertie School of Governance, Berlin, and a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Bath joined us for a session to share her Public Engagement Tips and Tricks.

We were also very pleased to kick off the ART-AI seminar series and welcomed Carly Kind, Director of The Ada Lovelace Institute, who presented a very useful and informative overview of the programmes of the Ada Lovelace Institute and the key priorities for the future.

On the last day of the induction week some of the first Cohort and the second Cohort managed to meet up in person for a socially distanced lunch and tour around campus.
We would like to wish all our new students a very warm welcome and all our current students all the best for their second year with the ART-AI.
