Join us on Thursday 12 February 2026 for a seminar with Professor Duncan Hollis, from Temple Law School, exploring how best to talk about international law across the digital ecosystem.
Drawing on developments over the past 25 years, Professor Hollis will examine:
- Where there is consensus on international law in cyberspace
- Where there are areas of divergence, including ongoing debates about sovereignty and interpretation and the persistent silence of many states on these issues
- What the UN’s new Global Mechanism, alternative forums and future treaties could mean for people, states, and digital stability
This seminar is hosted by Dr Andre Barrinha, Deputy Director of The Bath Institute for Digital Security and Behaviour.
Who should attend? This event is particularly relevant for academics, students, policymakers, legal practitioners, cybersecurity professionals, and anyone interested in geopolitics, international law, and digital governance.
